The Esmond Armchair is our classic interpretation of an Edwardian parlour chair. The low seat makes this chair easy to sink into and the slightly higher back provides the perfect headrest. Deep padding ensure this chair is comfortable and inviting which is exactly what you want from a chair whether you are relaxing or entertaining friends.

If there's one thing we know about anything, it's how to style a good shelf. You might even say we have excellent shelf esteem 😭 By way of apology for that diabolical pun please accept our top shelf styling tips;

📚 Whether you're a Kindle reader with performative hardbacks or a library hoarder with piles of paperbacks, your shelves aren't complete without some choice reading materials. Edit it down to a few piles, we like to sandwich them between stylish bookends, prop them against our Bookshelf Light or stack them horizontally to give objets a little height.

🗿Objet are terribly important when it comes to adding a more sophisticated edge to your shelf styling. We like to dedicate an entire shelf to things that are a little more unusual or design led, whether that be decorative bowls, vases or something a little more sculptural. Bonus points if you can tie these into a little private joke at home!

🧩 Spacing is the most important element of a balanced shelf styling. Every bookcase is like a puzzle that needs to be solved so take your time to get it right. Start in a zig zag formation with your blocks of objets and books, then step back and edit from there; ask yourself what deserves a shelf to itself and what needs a companion. Coordinate the colours and bounce them around the composition.

Practice makes perfect and of course some stellar shelves to put them on! Links to every in our collection in today's Stories.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall ✨ Our Amelia is the most chic of all ✨ Our Amelia Bobbin Mirror from Edition OB of The OB Design Collection fast became one of our iconic pieces, so much so that her family has grown to five colours in two sizes each. While we love a luscious lacquered splash of colour, there's something about the tactile feel of the unlacquered wood in Natural and Black that feels so appropriate for the seasonal shift we're seeing in interiors, moving to a more muted and subtle palette and playing on textural changes across a space. Seen here in Petite and Large, you can see how the bobbin frame on the Amelia adds a little oomph to some simple styling, making that curated look completely effortless!

✨NEW✨ Simplicity without compromising on impact; that's the special sauce we like to inject into our pieces and the new Marker TV Cabinet is the perfect embodiment of that. The latest look from the OB Design Collection, this checkerboard-esque pattern is carved into relief on the doors of this solid wood piece with a mid tone honey stain for a simple yet statement making silhouette. This one of a kind piece takes its design cues from modern architectural design and adds a tasteful dash of contemporary style that pairs well with vintage pieces and mixed-era decorating.

At 1.5m wide this piece is perfect for wide alcoves in period houses and long enough to form a centre piece in new build homes. Explore online or in-studio today, available for speedy shipping with our network of hand delivered couriers all over Ireland 📦
