Letter to Mr President
Cc: CBN Governor

Dear President Buhari as you are aware we are in the midst of a currency change and things are not moving smoothly! We know that you are trying to make Nigeria a cashless society and you are interested in making the cashless policy work. But it can't be so sudden, it's supposed to be a gradual transition and not the abrupt change we have here.
Currency change in countries takes over 6 months to years and gradually the old currency is sucked out of the system and allowance is made for the currencies that are outside the country. But ours in Nigeria is about a month and is extremely chaotic! Allowance wasn't made for the conversion of old to new currency except in rural areas where they exchanged your old for new. But in the township you deposited and got maximum 20000 naira. Now you deposit and DON'T GET ANYTHING IN RETURN! You are told to go to the ATM machine for new notes and a maximum 20K. The queues at the ATMS are over 100m long and fights are commonplace! Sometimes you queues for hours with your turn about to approach ( 5 people ahead of you ) and the cash in the ATM finishes ( the heartbreak is akin to charging your phone all night with electricity throughout the night and you get there and it's 4% ). Mr President the policy is TOO HARSH! People can't even get cash from the POS operators any longer, if you get it's at exorbitant rates ( 500 for 5000 ) in my area it's 200 on 3000 as of yesterday night! The economy is suffering, very soon people will have money in their accounts and will be dying of hunger because their is no cash to spend! As per electronic transfer that's so delayed now! Someone wanted to buy Angees satchet kulikuli from me and transferred 22K to me 2 hours later I hadn't received alert and I checked the app and it wasn't in. He ended up sending the money twice and it later reflected in the Night around 8pm and I had to transfer 22K back. Which refused to go between 8 to 9pm and I gave up, only to wake up 3am and I tried it again with battery 3% and it went. So electronic transfer is not efficient because it's delayed and no longer instant. Assuming I want to pay for food consumed at a Buka and I transferred to the woman I will wait for hours before I will be allowed to go because she won't receive alert. Something has to be done in a hurry or the economy WILL SLOW DOWN! ATMS have to loaded with enough new notes even if the limit is 20K. Before the end of the week POS operators will run out of cash! Where will Nigerians get cash to spend? And electronic transfer is no longer instant so fraud will creep in!
Please and please rectify this situation IMMEDIATELY! AS A MATTER OF EMERGENCY! RELEASE MORE NEW NOTES and load ATMS.
