Some offices are built for output. This one, by Studio MG, is built for pause.

Designed for a client entering a new chapter, defined by reflection rather than acceleration, the space trades urgency for ease. Warm materials, muted tones and filtered light shape a retreat where reading, writing and thinking take precedence, and where silence is treated as something to settle into.

Studio MG, founded by Manisha Gandhi, has spent years turning houses into homes, drawing on her time across Hong Kong and Vietnam and a practice built one project at a time. Here, that same instinct for warmth and comfort shapes a space made for slowing down. We’re glad our furniture found its place within it.

Six floors above Bangalore’s Ashoka Pillar, a family of four lives around a courtyard open to the sky, with a tulsi plant at its centre.

EnviArch Studio designed the home so ritual and routine sit side by side. A fenestrated pooja room in onyx and brass opens into the everyday spaces of living, dining and rest, while bedrooms look out toward Lalbagh’s greenery. It’s a home shaped as much by what happens in it as by how it looks, and we’re glad our furniture found its place within it.

Bao doesn’t hold you in place. It wraps around you, the leather rounding over the arms and back, a seam tracing the seat like a topographic line. Below it all, ashwood splits between seat and back, the only place the form opens up.

Named for the act of wrapping. Sit in it once and the name makes sense.

There is a place at the edge of the Dead Sea where evaporation ponds are cut into the land in irregular, flowing parcels, colour shifting from pond to pond, edges curved instead of straight, following the valley rather than working against it.

Bao was shaped by that instinct. An organic form that wraps around the sitter rather than positioning them. Italian leather that receives completely. An ashwood base that splits open between seat and back, making the structure as visible as the comfort.
The name means to embrace. Everything else follows.

The backrest of Knotto doesn’t run in one piece. It splits at the centre, and a leather tie bridging the two halves at the point where they open.
The arms flow out from that same backrest in long curves that taper toward the front. Below, a rounded leather seat sits inside the frame. The legs splay just enough to keep it planted without adding bulk to the silhouette.

Knotto is the dining chair that does not crowd you. An open backrest, split at the top and tied with leather. Sculpted ashwood arms. A seat upholstered in leather. Deliberate in every gap it leaves.
