Backed by the top names in media, entertainment and social organization, this is going to be much-awaited contest & it only promises to get bigger and better for the year 2012. There will be 3 round for the qualifying round and 3 rounds for the finals competition rounds to judge the participants however top 20 will be selected from the total points gained from the first 3 rounds plus the points gained from the pre assesment. Top 10 will proceed to Question and Answer round. Introduction Round dressed in traditional dresses on the 1st of May 2012. The first round of the contest begins with the contestants coming and introducing themselves dressed in colourful traditional dresses that are worn by different communities & tribes of different states of India. Talent Round will be held on the 1st of May 2012. In this round each contestant is required to present her talent in 3 minutes time(there will no exception to this rule). This is a solo performance; hence no other entertainer should be on stage with the contestant. The contestants must notify the Organisers of any special technical need for the stage latest by 20th of April 2012. Good Karma Round on the 1st of May 2012 to the judges ( Submit your hard copy )
In this round each participants will be presenting/sharing their project that they have taken up for a cause that they strongly feel for and would spend time promoting in coming years. (time limit 1 minute)
Final Judges will be on the 2nd of June 2012 at the grand Dr Kashinath Ghanekar Drama Theater
Question Answers round
Final contestants will be onstage for question answers round by the judges which will decide the winner of My Name is Woman. Maharashtra Go Green foundation reserves the right to change the format of the contest at any time including pre-selection, Competition rounds & judging criteria. The Green Projects of interest which the contestant will carry out is as follows:
1) Seed bank: Collection of seeds of seasonal fruits and segregation of the same and germination in various locations through treckers.
2) Bio – composting: Segregation of wet waste and dry waste and conversion of wet biodegradable waste by vermiculture / bioculture to make bio-fertilizers
3) Recycling of waste material such as paper and other such biodegradable materials to make useful products.
4) Shun use of plastic bags and make cheaper cloth bags available for shopping purpose
5) Save water campaign – Collection of waste water – treatment to make it available for gardening / car wash
6) Rain water harvesting projects to be initiated in society complex
7) Solar system to be used for heating water
8) Use of email and SMS for communication to save paper
9) Tree plantation drive – Planting of trees which give maximum Oxygen
10) Planting of Aloevera / Tulsi plants (Medicinal herbs), making herbal garden
11) Car pooling, use of bicycles, use of public transport. This year, the grooming of each of the contestants will be under the supervision of prominent personality form the entertainment and Glamour field. During these sessions, the panelists will help each contestant gear up to put her best foot forward during the Grand Finale. As part of this preparation, the contestants shall be taught the intricacies of graceful dancing, maintaining fitness levels and walking the catwalk, among many other skills. These sessions will be conducted by the reputed Kasber’s Dance Academy. For their intellectual development and to create awareness about the environment, the contestant will attend a workshop on ‘Health, Environment Protection and Biodiversity. 28. The applicant should not have won the pageant previously.
29. The round expenses (Travel & Stay) will have to be borne by the participant.
30. The applicant will have to participate in a disciplined and diligent manner throughout as per schedule given.
31. The organizers are not responsible if the sponsors do not make good the prizes promised by them.
32. The organizers are not responsible for any loss or physical injury that occurs to the applicant on account of their participation in the event.
