Taj Bekal Resort & Spa () was inspired by the design of Kerala's famous Kettuvallam houseboats. Backwater flowing through this 5-star property, Kerala’s famous palm leaf drawings, called Chitra Pothi, were designed & recreated on tussar silk by Kunal Mehta () & Grounds Kent Architect - Nick Juniper (GKA) that have mythological and spiritual themes as part of the bed decor in all suites.

As you walk around from the common lobby to the private areas, you’re sure to find some Indonesian influences too. From the bespoke bed throws to drapery, light installations to sculptures - team Kanchi () was on their toes designing & stylising with Nick J.
