Architectural Digest India spotlighted some of our most loved pieces - the Madhavaa Swing with its kolam-inspired motifs and Chettinad roots, the Pushparaj Temple reimagined for the modern home, and the Bindu & Tarang chests that carry the spirit of Bandhani and Madras checks into solid wood.
Indian references, reworked for the way we live today. That's always been the Furnicheer way.

Made on request, this chair brought us back to a way of working we deeply value.
The cane isn’t pre-woven or applied from a roll. It is woven directly onto the frame, strand by strand, by hand.
There is a certain honesty in this process. A rhythm that machines don’t replicate. A strength that comes from time, not shortcuts.
(handwoven cane, traditional craftsmanship, bespoke furniture, slow craft, material integrity, enduring design)
Woven directly into the wood by skilled hands, cane pattern is built slowly, with precision and patience.
Over the years, convenience took over. Pre-woven sheets replaced this process. Faster, easier, more scalable.
But somewhere along the way, we began to lose the makers.
Many of the artisans we worked with years ago are no longer able to continue. And fewer hands are learning what they once knew so well.
This chair became more than a commission. It became a reminder of a craft and the people behind it.
(craft legacy, handmade, cane weaving, artisan community)

The story of Furnicheer began decades ago - shaped by a lifelong relationship with homes, craft, and the quiet details that make spaces meaningful.
When our founder, Subhangi, set out to design her own home, years of thought, intuition, and lived experience finally found form.
Every corner reflects the philosophy she had been developing over time.
Walk through the space and read the stories this home is telling.

Indian homes are changing - becoming more personal, more rooted, more real.
At the heart of this apartment lies a belief we hold deeply at Furnicheer: furniture is not decoration. It is architecture you live with.
Open shelving that divides without disconnecting.
Craft details that soften modern spaces.
Wood that ages with memory.
This isn’t styling.
It’s storytelling through design.

When a home becomes personal, design stops trying to impress - it starts to belong.
Featured by Architectural Digest India, this 700-sq-ft Mumbai apartment of our founder Subhangi, reflects a new idea of Indian living: warm, layered, intentional.
Designed as both a home and a lived philosophy, every corner balances nostalgia with modernity - handcrafted wood, filtered light, and spaces that evolve with everyday life.
