Valentine's Day originated from a mix of ancient Roman rituals (Lupercalia) and the martyrdom of Saint Valentine, a 3rd-century priest executed on February 14th for secretly marrying couples against Emperor Claudius IIâs orders. It evolved from a religious feast into a celebration of romantic love in the Middle Ages. This is the story behind Valentine's Day. A man ( saint) was killed because he wanted to celebrate love. What an irony!!
Today, I feel the biggest symbol of love are captured ( a small bit) in these pictures, where love is celebrated most profoundly, silently, without noise, without show off, without slogans. Love is this, strength of love is this, love should be able to move people, nations, world...silently. Language of love is strongest when you don't need words to express or explain, if it can touch you, move you without noise, love wins.
No matter whatever business houses do to sell love (for one week), love should be celebrated everyday . Celebration of love should not be for a day ( or a week) , confining love to one day will only increase hatred and bitterness, nor can love be defined, one can be in love with work/nature/animals etc... Love should be celebrated in all forms, all shapes, 24*7 ... 365 days.
Love...as much as you can, the more you love double you will get back. Love...everyday, the world needs it badly to heal.

This Jamdani saree is quite old, and I have worn it many times as a saree. Last year, there was a wedding in our family. For the sangeet, instead of wearing a lehenga, I made a skirt using a georgette saree, and designed the top in such a way that it could also be worn separately.
This Christmas, we had a small family gathering at home. Since the theme was red and white, I paired the same top with denim. The top has been designed so that it can be styled with different skirts or trousers as well.
After making the top, I used the remaining portion of the Jamdani saree to create a long evening dress. Iâve already worn that dress on another occasion. So, from one saree, I created two different dresses.
