The blue holds everything together.

The lacquered panelling clads the entire room and works as a backdrop: frames rest against it, the price board is set into it, the depth of the colour absorbs the light of the pendants.

It is joinery that gives up being the protagonist, and that is why the place works.

The shop already had its arches.

Each recess received its own shelving, built to the real profile of the opening: no two arches shared a shape, and no two shelves are alike. The insertion does not correct the geometry of the building, it takes it on.

In an old interior, successful work is the work that goes unnoticed.

Arched doors, soft greens, desks wherever the window leaves room.

Children's rooms are the hardest to set out, because they must remain valid beyond the age of those who live in them. Here the joinery is built to change function without being replaced.

To design for children is to design for memory.

Continuous working surfaces, closed fronts, protected edges. It has to bear years of daily use and go on reading as new.

This is why a counter is not chosen. It is built.

Bathrooms that resemble rooms, not plumbing.

An oxblood lacquered volume with drawers as long as the entire front. A base beneath a green wall, with a flush oval mirror. A wall-hung double basin, as long as the corridor that receives it.

Every time the same criterion: to withdraw from view everything that is not surface.

Stacked rings, in the same red as the floor.

A high table built from sections of varying diameter. The column rises true from the first ring to the last and carries a glass top: the smallest deviation at the base would read in full at the top.

In shops, people always photograph the object that exists nowhere else.

Curved Volume | Historic House

A staircase that cut the room in two. A single brief: make it disappear.

Curved Volume is the only element of this house made by Tecniclegno. It begins as a problem of space and becomes an object: a closed volume on a continuous radius wrapping the stairwell and stopping beneath the stone vault.

The geometry admits no interruption. No corners, no visible uprights, no handle: the curve runs on unbroken across every face, and the metallic-effect finish gathers light the way burnished bronze would.

Against exposed tufo and ancient vaults, the volume seeks no dialogue: it opposes. It is the smoothest and darkest surface in the house.

Not every job is turnkey. Sometimes a studio calls for the one piece nobody else will take on — and that is the work we prefer.

An island, a wall, and no handles anywhere.

Matt lacquer across every front. The grip is replaced by a shadow gap that stays constant from one end of the wall to the other, indifferent to the tolerances of the floor. The island turns its corner on a full radius and ends without an edge.

Take the handle away and what is left is the drawing.

A wall that lights the room instead of closing it.

Floating shelves, light set within the thickness of the timber, equipment that disappears when it is not needed. Everything that usually occupies a living room is absorbed into the wall, and the television vanishes into the whole.

When everything belongs, nothing dominates.

From a distance it is a colour. Up close it is a skin.

The counter front, in terracotta lacquer, is perforated on a regular pitch along its whole length. Every hole holds a shadow: the surface shifts as one walks past, and raking light alters its reading as the hours pass.

Not every detail is noticed. The right ones are felt.
