Making of Dooor

In our workshop, expert hands carefully cut, sew, and sheath each cladding around the internal metallic frame, shaping material into a custom-made architectural surface.

It is within this tailored process that the Dooor handle finds its place: far from a basic functional accessory, it is an ergonomic design detail conceived to guide the gesture of opening with natural ease.

A physical and tactile touchpoint that completes the threshold, merging formal elegance with seamless spatial continuity.

Nel nostro laboratorio, le mani esperte delle maestranze tagliano, cuciono e avvolgono i rivestimenti attorno alla struttura metallica interna, trasformando la materia in una superficie su misura.

È in questo processo artigianale che si inserisce la maniglia Dooor: non un semplice componente funzionale, ma un raffinato dettaglio ergonomico disegnato per assecondare il movimento dell'aprire.

Un'interfaccia fisica e tattile che completa l'architettura della soglia, unendo eleganza formale e continuità progettuale.

Mirroring architecture to expand the perception of interior space.

In the Milanese renovation designed by 23bassi, the Dooor multiple-opening textile partition becomes a dynamic surface thanks to its exclusive MO—MI mirror-effect eco-leather cladding. An active boundary that captures light, interacts with surrounding greenery and geometries, and redefines the transition between the living and sleeping areas through fluid, silent motion.

Nella ristrutturazione milanese firmata dallo studio 23bassi, la parete tessile ad apertura multipla Dooor diventa protagonista grazie a un rivestimento unico in ecopelle con effetto specchiante MO—MI.

La superficie riflettente non solo dilata visivamente l'ambiente, ma crea un continuo e affascinante gioco di rimandi cromatici.

Within the peculiar layout of this meeting room in Empoli, spatial balance is restored by a blue, acoustically isolated volume defined by a Dooor mobile partition system. Acting like a stage curtain, the doors invite you to step into a world of references to the finest Italian pop design tradition.

Whether open or closed, the textile door adapts the space to shifting needs, defining an introverted or open environment accessible through multiple openings. The soft playfulness of the forms and the rounded corners of the Dooor systems echo the key theme of ACQ Studio's concept: theatricality around the product.

Nella configurazione peculiare di questa sala riunioni ad Empoli, il ritmo spaziale viene riequilibrato da un volume blu fonoassorbente, definito dal sistema di pareti mobili Dooor. Come un sipario, le porte invitano ad attraversare una soglia che evoca la migliore tradizione del design pop italiano.

Aperta o chiusa, la porta tessile riconfigura l'ambiente in base alle diverse necessità di utilizzo, svelando o custodendo lo spazio attraverso aperture multiple. La giocosità delle forme e gli angoli smussati delle porte Dooor partecipano al tema centrale del progetto curato da ACQ Studio: la teatralità attorno al prodotto.

Used to modulate the transition between the living and the sleeping area, Dooor integrates into the apartment's tailoring palette thanks to its delicate finishes. A flexible presence that discreetly disappears when one seeks the continuity of spaces, or stretches out to offer privacy and intimacy, without ever interrupting the poetry of light.

Utilizzata per modulare il passaggio tra il living e la zona notte, Dooor si integra nella palette sartoriale dell'appartamento grazie alle sue finiture delicate. Una presenza flessibile che scompare con discrezione quando si cerca la continuità degli spazi, o si distende per offrire privacy e intimacy, senza mai interrompere la poesia della luce.
