Da questo venerdì 11 Settembre, il mio pezzo “Eternal Flowers” sarà esposto nella splendida limonaia di Villa Corsini, a Firenze, in occasione di ArtigianatoePalazzo .

Il tema di quest’anno, “ fra Natura e Artificio”, trova in questo lavoro una sintesi che mi rappresenta profondamente: il continuo dialogo tra ciò che appartiene alla natura e ciò che nasce dalla mano dell’uomo.

In questo floridissimo mazzo convivono e si intrecciano fiori di magnolia, semi del Cedro del Libano, piccoli elementi vegetali, insieme a tappini di metallo, bottoni vintage, perline , matite e materiali recuperati.

Frammenti apparentemente lontani tra loro che, nel mio mosaico, perdono la propria identità originaria per diventare qualcosa di nuovo.

È proprio questo che cerco ogni volta: fondere materiali naturali e artificiali in un equilibrio armonioso, dando nuova vita a ciò che è già esistito e creando una natura immaginaria, eterna.

Un’estate fatta di brevi fughe e di vecchie case da svuotare, colme di ricordi.

E io, ancora una volta, non riesco a buttare via ciò che ha avuto una storia. Preferisco riamarlo: trasformarlo, reinventarlo, dargli una nuova vita nel mio lavoro. 🌿

Sto creando questo micro vaso nato da una piccola cornice ritrovata in questi giorni (foto1) , vecchi quadretti pronti a diventare mosaici (foto 2), una splendida cartina consumata dal tempo che troverà presto una nuova destinazione (foto3)

E poi, ritrovare vecchi lavori che amo ancora: dalla Dea della Selva anno 2011 (foto 4) ai miei complicatissimi fiori in legno e matita (foto5) che presto ritroveranno posto nei nuovi bouquet floreali che sto realizzando in questo periodo . 🩷

Per me creare è soprattutto salvare frammenti di passato e farli fiorire di nuovo.

A summer made of short escapes and old houses to clear, filled with memories.

And once again, I can’t bring myself to throw away things that have a story. I’d rather love them again: transform them, reinvent them, and give them a new life through my work. 🌿

I’m creating this tiny vase from a little frame I found these past few days (photo 1), old picture frames ready to become mosaics (photo 2), and a beautiful, time-worn map that will soon find a new purpose (photo 3).

And then, rediscovering old pieces I still love: from the Goddess of the Forest, made in 2011 (photo 4), to my intricate flowers made of wood and pencil (photo 5), which will soon find their place again in the new floral bouquets I’m creating these days. 🩷

For me, creating is above all about saving fragments of the past and making them bloom again.

A new series is blooming… 🌸

Tiny, one-of-a-kind bouquets created inside recycled sardine tins, transforming something ordinary and discarded into a small, precious garden.

Each Tin Bloom is entirely unique, made from a playful mix of reclaimed and natural materials, vintage elements, beads, buttons, glass and found objects.

No two flowers are ever the same.
No two Tin Blooms are ever the same.

This is Tin Garden — a collection of little gardens where old objects are given a new life. 🌱

Tin Bloom #01 is the first one. Each new Tin Bloom will be numbered and signed.

Every discarded object holds the possibility of a new beginning.

These tiny floral artworks bloom inside recycled mackerel tins, proudly celebrating their previous life instead of hiding it.

Each bouquet is entirely unique, carefully composed from vintage jewelry, forgotten beads and found objects. Every background is individually selected, using beautiful decorative papers or traditional Florentine papers, creating a one-of-a-kind harmony of colors and textures.

Displayed together, these little tins become a joyful collection of stories, flowers and second chances.

A vibrant fusion of nature and its imitation in my artistic style

Two beautiful mosaic landscapes inspired by the sunlit colors, salty breeze, and glowing atmosphere of the Amalfi Coast.
I loved creating these pieces, trying to capture the lush greenery, sparkling sea, warm light, and the unforgettable feeling of standing along those cliffside views in one of Italy’s most breathtaking places.

I’m going back to creating more animals in my signature mosaic technique, and these days I’ve brought back one of my all-time favorites: the chameleon.
I’ve made so many of them over the years… and they’re still one of the most fun creatures to create. Every single one has its own personality.
