A baldachin of Colefax & Fowler ‘Flores’ complements the velvet-covered walls in a guest bedroom on the first floor, while in the main bedroom, a 17th-century Venetian depiction of the Virgin and Child gazes down on a brass bed with glass finials. The ground-floor living room has retained a handful of its 19th-century Orientalist decorations, including the carved wooden Turkish-style arch, and in the hallway, the mirrors of an 18th-century marquetry desk from Lombardy reflect the balustrade of the principal staircase.
