performative design association with a multidisciplinary approach
ChorusDesignGroup is Roberto Monte, Francesca Mistrangelo, Melina Novello, Michela Ricciotti, Gianni Verna. Originally met in Milan in February 2003, collaboration started with first exhibition at prestigious Salone Satellite at the Furniture Fair in 2005.They outset the very first collective design in 2006, having set an urban performance in Bologna as an investigating tool to design urban space
s, calling this design process "La Stanza Urbana". The project was selected for the Salone Satellite, so that a brand new outdoor seating prototype was released thanks to the collaboration with Andreoly Milano, made of metal and DuPont™ Corian® shell called Paolo.a. With this ambitious yet radical furniture they were selected to showcase at many events as FuoriSalone Design Week and private Galleries exhibitions untill recent years, among which overwhelms the Mango™ central flagship store showcase during the Milanese Design Week. In 2009 another visionary object has been designed: an outdoor energy-saver lamp called Pianta.La. With this furniture CDG was again selected to further exhibitions about outdoor and sustainability subjects. In 2011 CDG have been awarded with “Excellences for Sustainability” Award as Best Practice for developing sustainable communications plans, thanks to a communication project which took place as an urban performance called "Think It Green" in collaboration with GreenGraffiti® Italia and CreuzaComunicazione. Since 2009 CDG has developped new design strategies about Sustainability and Green oriented projects promoting the design process as a performative dimension to foster well being and energy saving technologies.
