As you might have heard, is planning on reopening its borders to EU countries on the 15th of June.

But how is the situation in Italy?
Over the past 2 months, the number of new cases in Italy has been constantly shrinking and today daily cases are 1/20th of those registered at the end of March.

And how is the situation in Venice and surrounding areas?
The Veneto region, although being an initial hotspot of the epidemic, quickly managed to flatten the curve thanks to broad testing and enforcing the use of a face mask at all times. A total of 43 people have been hospitalized in the Venice hospital, since the beginning of the epidemic.

Should you visit?
If you're from EU, you should definitely consider visiting! Not only because Venice is Venice and its now safe to visit, but also because there are at least 3 very good reasons to come NOW:

1 - Today the city is as beautiful and peaceful as its ever been. Just to give you an idea, for the first time in decades Italian is the main language being heard on the streets!
