Lunardelli Venezia

There is a dialogue that goes beyond the material.

On this fragment of briccola — marked by the sea, carved by shipworms, smoothed by time — the skilled hands of our artisans meet the mark of @.ascari , illustrator and architect who lives between Venice and Milan.

This is how Storie d'acqua (Water Stories) was born: thirty Sfoji telling the story of the great spaces of Venetian art and hospitality where Lunardelli has left its artisan heritage. The wood becomes a living surface, painted Venice meets sculpted Venice.

Two gestures, one single fragment of the lagoon.

C'è un dialogo che va oltre la materia.

Su questo frammento di briccola — segnato dal mare, scavato dalle teredini, levigato dal tempo — le mani sapienti dei nostri artigiani incontrano il segno di Jacopo Ascari, illustratore e architetto che vive tra Venezia e Milano.

Nasce così Storie d'acqua: trenta Sfoji che raccontano i grandi spazi dell'arte e dell'ospitalità veneziana, dove Lunardelli ha lasciato la propria eredità artigiana. Il legno diventa superficie viva, la Venezia dipinta incontra la Venezia scolpita.

Per tutto settembre le botteghe di Venezia aprono le porte a chi vuole vedere l'artigianato da vicino. Anche la nostra è tra queste.

Il legno che attraversa le nostre mani porta i segni del mare e del tempo — la briccola, i pali di rovere che hanno retto Venezia per secoli. In atelier non si guarda soltanto: per un'ora, accanto al Maestro, sarai tu a dare l'ultimo respiro alla materia, e porterai a casa il pezzo lavorato con le tue stesse mani. Cosa serve davvero perché un frammento di legno diventi Venezia?

Throughout September, Venice's workshops open their doors to those who want to see craftsmanship up close. Ours is one of them.

The wood that passes through our hands carries the marks of the sea and of time — the briccola, the oak poles that have held up Venice for centuries. In the atelier you won't just watch: for an hour, beside the Maestro, you'll give the material its final breath, and take home the piece shaped by your own hands. What does it really take for a fragment of wood to become Venice?

Tra poche settimane portiamo l'anima di Venezia in una forma nuova: Querini.

Architettura, acqua, luce e vetro si incontrano in una libreria disegnata insieme a KANZ Architetti. I sostegni in vetro borosilicato, soffiati e lavorati a mano, custodiscono la gibigiana — il riflesso della luce sull'acqua veneziana — mentre il ritmo dei ripiani richiama le facciate che si susseguono lungo il Canal Grande. Cosa succede quando un'intera città viene raccontata in una libreria? Vieni a scoprirlo dal vivo.

In a few weeks we bring the soul of Venice into a new shape: Querini.

Architecture, water, light and glass meet in a bookshelf designed together with KANZ Architetti. The hand-blown borosilicate glass supports hold the gibigiana — the shimmer of light on Venetian water — while the rhythm of the shelves echoes the facades along the Canal Grande. What happens when an entire city is told through a bookshelf? Come and find out in person.
