A seven-unit shared house in a residential district of Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Four boxes containing seven rooms and bathrooms are stacked on three levels inside a large 10m high box, leaving gaps open around them. The common spaces-a workshop space on the first level, terrace on the second level, and kitchen on the third level- are all connected and perceived as one space by means of a 9,300mm high void within the entrance.
