Our President, the father of our nation,
My President, I write to you as a common mwananchi.
I want to honestly tell you how things are on the ground. Life has become unbearable for the ordinary Kenyan. To afford a balanced meal is almost impossible. Even something as simple as inviting a visitor and serving them tea has become a struggle.
My President, many of us are jobless. The small businesses we try to start collapse before they can even stand. There is little to no support, and the people themselves lack purchasing power. Money is not circulating. Survival has become the daily goal.
The mental health of the common mwananchi is at a very low point. Stress, anxiety, and hopelessness are everywhere. Our bodies are not thriving because poor diets have become the norm, not by choice, but by circumstance.
My President, God knows how many times many of us have felt like giving up. Yet we are still holding on. We are hanging in there, hoping to be heard.
I humbly ask you, My President, to come down to the ground and listen to us. Hear directly from the common mwananchi. See how we are living. We still believe in leadership that listens and responds.
