Yesterday I had the greatest of pleasure to welcome back my dear friend Peter Heron who visited Siem Reap in 2015 with some of his friends, we had the awesome time then visiting Angkor Wat and the floating village. Peter and his friends also visited my school during that time when we had only 20 students. The school now has 100 students and is in a new building, I am looking forward for Peter to visit the school again to see the changes. 😀

Hi everyone. With the help of Sandy and Graham we have done a wonderful makeover on a room in our home which is now listed on Air BNB or if preferred can be booked directly with us. The room is on the 1st floor, has large comfy king bed, air conditioning or ceiling fan, cable TV, bar fridge, super clean western ensuite bathroom, hot water and free WiFi. Every year a group of medical students and doctors come to Cambodia on a medical trip to Taom Village. They conduct health checks on the villagers and educate on healthcare and hygience and help provide access to clean water. It is always my pleasure to co-ordinate their transport requirements and arrange day trips to the temples, floating village, restaurants and even a visit to the gym for a workout. It was awesome that they were able to come to the English classes at my home, the kids all loved having them. Please have a look at Taom Project 2017 page to see the incredible work they do.

Project Taom Project Ta Om is a community development initiative that aims to address issues of poverty in Taom Village, located in Banteay Manchey province, Cambodia.

Yesterday we said goodbye to Clive and Addie who went back to Australia. They had been staying with us with Graham and Sandy for 5 weeks. They did some volunteer work and helped with my school. We all went to the airport to see them off. My kids will miss Addie playing the ukulele and singing to them and reading books and helping with their English. Hope to see you again.
