In Short track speed skating, the relay is a team race where skaters work together to complete the distance. Athletes take turns on the ice, passing the race to their teammate with a push.

Relay races are fast, dynamic, and require perfect teamwork and coordination. At the Almaty Open, teams will compete together, showing their speed, strategy, and team spirit. ⛸️

t the Almaty Open, young athletes will compete in the following distances:

Junior C: 1500 m, 500 m, 1000 m, 2000 m
Junior D: 1000 m, 500 m, 777 m, 2000 m
Junior E: 777 m, 333 m, 500 m, 2000 m

These races will allow skaters to demonstrate their speed, strategy, and determination on the ice. ⛸️
