Pair of Large porcelain Canton vases, china quing dynasty, 19th Century.

The body is painted with a continuous design of flowers and birds bordering two large rectangular reserves inside which are depicted court scenes.
The vase is embellished with two lion-shaped handles while the elegant handles are modelled with Qilong in relief.

The signature is engraved with a point “Le Verre Français” on the foot. This vase is called Prune and appears in the artist’s catalog raisonné. It is a representative piece of the production of master glassmaker Charles Schneider.
