👋We are pleased to welcome Finn Kirschner to AHK Sri Lanka!
Finn is a German legal trainee (Rechtsreferendar) at the Regional Court of Cologne and will be completing his three month administrative placement with us.
After passing his First State Examination in Law in Germany, he pursued a General LL.M. at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, focusing on international commercial law, international trade and dispute resolution.
Alongside his legal studies, he gained practical experience at CMS Hasche Sigle in Cologne, initially in the Dispute Resolution team and subsequently in the Commercial team. Following his placement at AHK Sri Lanka, he will return to CMS to complete his legal practice placement (Anwaltsstation).
During his time with us, Finn looks forward to gaining insights into German–Sri Lankan economic relations, exploring the legal and regulatory framework for international business in Sri Lanka, and contributing to AHK Sri Lanka's work in supporting bilateral trade and investment.
With its strategic location along major international shipping routes and its evolving economic landscape, Sri Lanka offers a particularly interesting environment to explore the opportunities and challenges of international trade and investment.
Drawing on his academic background and practical experience in commercial law and dispute resolution, Finn hopes to contribute a legal perspective to AHK Sri Lanka's activities and support its work in assisting German businesses operating in or exploring the Sri Lankan market.
