With Milan Design Week days away, we’re Neoklasika continues our design forecast series. Dark & moody aesthetic is quietly but confidently on the rise.
We’ve been noticing it across the recent fairs and in our own projects, too. Darker, more atmospheric spaces, where light is soft and a little dramatic, reflections are layered through tinted mirrors and materials feel rich, decadent, and inviting.
It’s a mood that leans into contrast, subtle drama, and a sense of quiet indulgence.
Curious to see how far this narrative will go in Milan.

“Florals for spring? …Groundbreaking.”
Yes, we all know the line from The Devil Wears Prada. But in interiors, florals never really disappear - it is an ever evolving theme.
Floral motifs can be romantic, architectural, graphic, or barely noticeable. When used with intention, they become less about decoration and more about atmosphere.
A small selection of floral moments from Neoklasika interiors - for those who believe spring can live in a space all year.

Traditionally, January belongs to discovery. This year, Paris unfolded for Neoklasika as a true kaleidoscope of impressions - from Paris Design Week, Paris Déco Off and Maison&Objet, to art encounters at Gerhard Richter’s retrospective at Fondation Louis Vuitton, the newly inaugurated Fondation Cartier, and the timeless classics of the Louvre.
These layered experiences resonated deeply with Maison&Objet 2026’s motto, “Past Reveals Future.”
A powerful reminder that classical values = expressed through form, material and craftsmanship - gain even greater relevance and stability in today’s rapidly evolving world, standing alongside futuristic narratives and technological innovation.
For us, this dialogue between heritage and forward vision continues to shape how we design: spaces rooted in timeless beauty, elevated by contemporary thinking.
Paris, thank you for the inspiration!

In this slower rhythm of August, we turn our attention to spaces that invite rest and thoughtful design.
We’ve curated a visual selection from Milan Design Week 2025 - highlighting the new outdoor collections by FLEXFORM and Paola Lenti . These designs illustrate a shift: outdoor furniture now carries the same textural refinement and visual weight as pieces designed for indoors. Tactile surfaces, amazing palettes, and sculptural forms create a seamless continuity between environments.

The garden around our Jūrmala concept house wasn’t created as a backdrop: it was shaped to express how we see outdoor living. Developed together with Landscape Construction, it reflects our design philosophy: spaces should respond to light, season, and rhythm of use.
There are places to pause: a quiet nook by the greenhouse for reading on a rainy day, a porch that’s become the best spot for bird watching, and open corners that lead the eye toward the horizon.
Subtle references to the nearby sea are layered throughout—fish motifs, rope textures, and soft marine stripes that tie the story together. Even the convex mirror on the porch wall reflects small glimpses of the garden as it changes through the day.
From the freestanding stone fireplace to the smallest details, each part has a purpose. It's a space that feels natural, personal, and deeply connected to its coastal setting.

Would you live in a space that tells your story? This Vienna apartment is a story of transformation. What began as an empty shell is now a living reflection of its owner's sensibilities - a space where classic architecture meets curated art, layered textures, and a color palette that speaks of quiet confidence and vibrant character.
The before showed potential. The after reveals personality, purpose, and poetry. From calm taupe foundations to bold accents in turquoise and burgundy, every element was selected not just for visual harmony, but for emotional resonance.

This April, Neoklasika visited Milan to explore what’s shaping today’s interiors.
Clear lines, balanced proportions, and sculptural forms stood out across spaces - from kitchens to living rooms to bathrooms. We value design that lasts and offers comfortable living. Shape is where it begins.
