A turned pinewood base, darkened through the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique,
paired with a flexible linen shade designed for durability and care.

From the De Palo collection —
one of the earliest explorations in Isabel Moncada’s studio,
where geometry, natural materials, and architectural presence began to take form.

Like the great divas —
unapologetic, magnetic, impossible to ignore.

As María Félix once said:
"Una mujer original no es aquella que no imita a nadie, sino aquella a la que nadie puede imitar".

At MOSCA, GALLO, PLUMA, LIGERO light found new ways to inhabit space.

A pleasure to present our pieces as part of this sculptural dialogue — where light becomes material, gesture, and presence within contemporary practice.

Curated by & at .

Grateful to the curators for the selection and for opening this conversation between works and artists.

And to everyone who shared this moment — thank you.

Appreciation for his perspective and curatorial dialogue.

When light is no longer only functional,
it begins to operate in another field.

Objects can shift context.
From architecture to exhibition space.
From utility to presence.

Born from a molecule.
Shaped by hand.

In the freedom of prototyping
texture entered the conversation.
Hair.

Maratus Horsehair in The Housemaid movie.

In cinema, a MacGuffin —a term coined by Alfred Hitchcock—
is an element that drives the story forward:
an object, a presence, a tension,
important not for what it is, but for what it sets in motion.

Luz De Mar
at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, Nayarit, Mexico.

An abstract wave of light,
hand-shaped glass,
brass in suspension.

Luz De Mar translates the movement of the ocean into light.
Created for The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort —
where architecture opens to the sea.

For years, perfection has been imagined as smooth, symmetrical, contained.
"The moon is not round" proposes another geometry.

Like an eggshell, porcelain holds tension: strength and fragility existing at once.
A form that transcends its poles — imperfect, resilient, alive.

Limited edition.

Maratus Horsehair at ADORNO’s “Persona” at 3daysofdesign Copenhagen.

Looking back to June 2025, when Maratus Horsehair was part of Persona, ADORNO’s immersive exhibition during 3daysofdesign.

The piece lived within The Romantic — a dreamlike, tactile environment shaped by softness, emotional tension, and evocative light.
A space where intimacy became material, and vulnerability turned into form.

A moment to remember how design can hold emotion, memory, and quiet intensity.
