Meet Simon, a 16-year-old student at Kaizen Welfare Home. With sheer determination and a heart full of grit, he’s working toward his High School exams in 2026—his first step toward college.
Thanks to generous donors, Simon now learns through VSchool Trend, one of the most effective online learning programs for children in welfare homes. He’s improving by leaps and bounds. Though he still struggles to read fluently, his ability to recognize words and persevere is extraordinary.
💡 My role is to guide him through his study plan:

The art of making "five stones handstitched cloth bags" , the timeless traditional game, our childhood game. This is Xiang Wei, the younger of the amazing talented Xiang brothers, living with autism. An autistic trait is the eye for detail in whatever specialty that they have crafted. Once they identify their passion, they will do it superbly well. So it is for Xiang Wei. Xiang brothers crafts will be featured at our new e-store at krayon.asia very soon.

Our journey with Shan Children's Home Perai started in October 2024. Shan Home is a commendable children's home that is run with a Home-Management approach, to provide a nurturing environment, that ensures the children have an equal opportunity for growth and development. We believe Shan's children will benefit from VSchool Trend online learning hence started a crowdfunding campaign. The priority was to get the older girls 2 years subscription so they can have access to help them till graduation in 2027. The younger girl, needs to strengthen her foundation to move to Secondary 1 in a year's time. Thanks to general public response and Give.Asia platform, that these kids will have regular education support.
