Volgende week vrijdag is het zover: de digitale editie van Awesome IT. Het is een dag gevuld met toffe lezingen en netwerkmogelijkheden met bedrijven. De onderwerpen van de lezingen lopen uiteen van quantum computers tot cognitieve neurowetenschap en van modelgebaseerd testen tot cloud native computing. Bachelorstudenten kunnen, zoals altijd, voor deze dag 2 colloquiumpunten verdienen.

Friday next week, the 9th of April, the digital edition of Awesome IT will be held. It is a day filled with interesting lectures and network opportunities with various companies. The subjects of the lectures range from quantum computers to cognitive neuroscience and from modelbased testing to cloudnative computing. Bachelor Students can attend the conference to obtain 2 colloquium points.

De eerste sprekers voor Awesome IT staan online!

Over minder dan een maand zal de online editie van Awesome IT plaatsvinden. Het wordt een dag vol interessante lezingen van onder andere Veelasha Moonsamy, en Bert de Vries. Veelasha bespreekt de beveiliging en privacy van mobiele telefoons, en hoe onze gegevens via een oplaadkabel kunnen worden opgevraagd. The first speakers for Awesome IT are online!

The digital edition of Awesome IT will take place in less than a month. It will be a day filled with interesting lectures, for example, those by Veelasha Moonsamy and Bert de Vries. Veelasha talks about security and privacy for mobile phones, in particular how our data can be exfiltrated via a charging cable. Op 9 april 2021 zal de eerste online editie van Awesome IT plaatsvinden. Dat doen we niet in een saaie meetingtool, maar in een prachtige online congreshal waar jij en je vrienden zich kunnen verplaatsen! Ondanks dat je je kroket dit keer zelf zal moeten frituren belooft het een interessante dag te worden, met toffe sprekers uit allerlei richtingen binnen de informatiewetenschappen. Zoals altijd kun je als bachelorstudent twee colloquiumpunten verdienen. Vanaf vandaag kun je je ticket aanschaffen op awesomeit.nl voor slechts 1 euro. On the 9th of April 2021, the first online edition of Awesome IT will take place. We won’t use some boring meeting tool, but we will build a beautiful online conference room where you can move around and meet your friends. We will have a number of interesting talks from experts on all kinds of topics within IT. As usual, bachelor students will be able to receive two colloquium points. The ticket sale has started on awesomeit.nl, for just 1 euro you will be able to attend this awesome conference. Until the 9th of April!

Awesome IT gaat dit jaar gewoon door, op 9 april om precies te zijn! Iets anders dan je normaal van ons gewend bent wellicht, want net als de rest van de wereld gaan ook wij digitaal. Ondanks dat je je kroket dit keer zelf zal moeten frituren belooft het een interessante dag te worden, met toffe sprekers uit allerlei richtingen binnen de informatiewetenschappen. Zoals altijd kun je als bachelorstudent twee colloquiumpunten verdienen. Wel vragen we je om je van te voren aan te melden zodat we je vooraf alle benodigde informatie kunnen sturen om het congres bij te wonen. Houd daarom goed svia.nl en awesomeit.nl in de gaten. Awesome IT will take place this year, on April 9th to be precise! Like everything else in the world right now, the conference will take place online. We will have a number of interesting talks from experts on all kinds of topics within IT. We do ask you to register beforehand, so we can send all the information you need to be able to join us. Therefore, please keep an eye out on svia.nl and awesomeit.nl. Hopefully, we’ll see you on April 9th!

In verband met de maatregelen die het RIVM neemt om de verspreiding van het Coronavirus te voorkomen, zal Awesome IT niet plaatsvinden op 3 april. Als je een ticket hebt aangeschaft, houd dan je mailbox in de gaten.

Due to the measures imposed by the RIVM regarding the Coronavirus, we regret to inform you that Awesome IT 2020 will have to be cancelled. If you've already bought a ticket, please keep an eye out on your mailbox for additional information.

Awesome IT, VIA's annual conference, will take place this year on April 3rd! For this 10th (!) edition we once again have a lot of great speakers in store, for example: Svetlana Levitan. She works as a machine learning engineer at IBM in the USA and they have developed a toolbox to make machine learning decisions "fair, unbiased, explainable, and resistant to adversarial attacks". In addition, two gentlemen from ProRail will talk about autonomous trains on the Dutch railway network.

In addition to these headliners, we will of course have interesting talks of all levels, whether you're a first-year bachelor student or finishing your master's thesis. Moreover, you can browse the company fair, participate in speed dates with companies, and last but not least: eat a "broodje kroket" at lunch!

KAARTVERKOOPBORREL OP 20 FEBRUARI 2020 @ AMSTERDAM SCIENCE PARK

Awesome IT, het jaarlijkse congres van via, zal dit jaar plaats vinden op 3 april! We hebben voor deze 10e (!) editie wederom een hoop vette sprekers in petto: bijvoorbeeld Svetlana Levitan. Zij werkt als machine learning engineer bij IBM in de Verenigde Staten en zij hebben een toolbox ontwikkeld om machine learning beslissingen “fair, unbiased, explainable and resistant to adversarial attacks” te maken. Ook komen er twee heren van ProRail vertellen over autonome treinen op het Nederlandse spoor. Daarnaast komt Yamada Takeshi, all the way from Japan, om te vertellen over teamLab!

Naast deze headliners hebben we natuurlijk interessante talks van alle niveaus, of je nou eerstejaars bachelorstudent bent of bezig bent met het afronden van je masterscriptie. Verder kun je rondneuzen op de bedrijvenmarkt en meedoen aan speeddates met bedrijven!
