Summer is still here, but outdoor learning isn’t just for sunny days. 🌦️🌿
Every season brings something new to discover.
Rain creates puddles to investigate. Wind brings movement and sound. Changing temperatures, colours and textures encourage children to notice, question and explore the world around them.
By making outdoor play part of the everyday routine, early years settings can support Understanding the World and Physical Development, while building early STEM foundations through observation, cause and effect, movement and exploration.
💡 Our tip: Think of changing weather as part of the learning environment, rather than a reason to stay indoors.
