Instead of making smart lights, a new startup named has decided to make smart light switches — transforming your regular lights into smart ones and ensuring you can turn lights on however you’d like, by a timer, by your phone, or by tapping a switch. This is called a “room director” switch, where all the smart stuff happens. You can turn lights on or off using your phone or a switch, without breaking anything.

New York City is never quiet, but most of the city's residents prefer to walk around with their own private soundtrack blaring in their ears. Nearly everyone you see on the street is perpetually in an aural bubble, separate from the outside world.
Wireless headphones make those bubbles even more pronounced without tethers to a separate device, and I think I've found the best pair for city life: Nuheara's IQbuds, a set of "true" wireless buds with solid sound, touch controls, massive battery life, and augmented hearing features that put them in a class above just about anything else I've ever put in my ears.

Let's state the obvious: long distance relationships aren't easy. Whether it's a significant other, a best friend, or family member, being away from someone you care about can seriously suck.
Until teleportation is a thing, fill the void with some nifty gadgets that can make you feel a little more connected. These long distance touch lamps will let your loved one know you're thinking about them in real time.
After each person connects their lamp to WiFi, a quick touch of the hand sends a message. When one lamp is touched, the other gives off the same radiant glow, regardless of how far away you are from each other. You can get these lamps in a pair for you and your best pal or boo, or as many as you need to keep the whole fam connected.

4 Ways Leaders Can Get More from Their Company’s Innovation Efforts
A recent McKinsey report found that while 84% of corporate executives think innovation is key to achieving growth objectives, only 6% are satisfied with the innovation performance of their firm. That’s quite a mismatch. It’s hard to imagine that a success rate that low would be tolerated in any other business function.

Cleaning the floor sucks — get a robot to do it
Out of all the household chores you can do, mopping may be the most worst — it's boring, it hurts your back, and moving furniture to clean underneath? It's a no from me.
Some engineers realized how time consuming and tedious of a job this can be and created an insanely cool solution via Kickstarter: meet Everybot, the ultimate robot mop cleaner.
We've seen numerous autonomous smart vacuum cleaners, but a smart mop that freely roams your home and gives your floors the wet scrub they need? Game changer.
