Derlot | Pillar

Drawing inspiration from an archetypally Australian object — the cattle-rail extrusion — Derlot reimagines this robust industrial form as the structural foundation of a refined, modular table system. Combining strength and durability with sophisticated engineering, the system scales seamlessly from individual workstations to large boardroom and video-conferencing tables, complete with integrated power reticulation and concealed cable management.

Devon Mcintyre Spatial Studio, led by Devon Mcintyre, designed the system behind it: one core material anchoring every store back to Juiceup, while each site develops its own character - as seen here in Mission Bay.

Unison supplied the Design By Them Twill chair, it’s playful tactile profile gives a nod to pressed plasticine - but don’t let the softness fool you. Twill works hard in every role: at the table, at the bar, or stacked away after service.

The brief was met and the result is fabulous.

One NZ’s new flagship Support Office at 30 Daldy Street in Wynyard Quarter unites more than 1,200 employees across two interconnected towers, bringing collaboration, flexibility and wellbeing to life in a single, connected workplace.

The workspace spans three levels linked by open stairs and bridging atriums that invite spontaneous connection - digital precision meets natural materials. Lower floors support focused work, while Level 6 opens into a light-filled social hub with indoor gardens, a shared kitchen, and sweeping harbour views.

Built to a 6 Green Star and Platinum WELL standard, the space redefines the workplace as a destination people want to be in, not just report to.

DESIGN BY THEM | Sail Table

Tom Fereday’s design approach centres on honesty — celebrating materials and manufacturing processes to design from the inside out. Treating materials and environment as positive constraints, he creates pieces defined by natural materials, tactile finishes, and distinctive craftsmanship.

“The concept for Sail was to create a considered piece that was utilitarian in approach. I liked the idea of a table that could be used in any context, be it in a meeting room or at an outdoor park with any seating typology. The natural variation and beauty of aluminium was the inspiration for the collection. We wanted to leverage the strength created when forming aluminium whilst allowing for a soft and inviting design, especially in the details where the body meets the table.”
