2. LEGAL STATUS

Alotau Timber and Forestry Services Limited (ATFS), is a 100% nationally owned company, Company No. 1 - 131419. It is a Registered Tax Payer No. 501840240.

ATFS is also a Registered Forest Industry Consultant, Certificate No. FC – 1800450 and is in the process of applying for a Timber License from the PNG Forest Authority or PNG Forest Services.

3. GOAL AND OBJECTIVES

The company’s Goal is to achieve healthy, sustainable living for the 80 percent of the country’s population living in the rural areas through sustainable management and wise use of the forest resources that they own.

Its objectives are to provide rural oriented forest and timbers development services to the forest resource owners specifically so that they can engage in small and medium forestry and timber businesses for livelihood sustainability.
