is proud to have been a part of this meaningful exhibit by , .philippines and .tokyo held at Tokyo Midtown Design Hub. An excerpt from article regarding the exhibit: “Lightboxes showcase specific parts of the coconut tree, introducing the varied uses of the coconut. The trunk produces lumber, used in architecture, furniture, and crafts. Salcedo Auctions handpicked Filipino furniture brand Lamana to use the coconut trunk as material for their designer line. Lamana’s partnership with Japanese brand Ishinomaki Laboratory allows them to manufacture these designs, exemplifying good relations between Japan and the Philippines in the design industry. A mix of products—including the Ishinomaki Stool by , the Tripodal Stool by , and the AA Stool by —is presented alongside two pieces by Filipino designers: the Hex Stool by and the Score Chair by .

The Philippine Coconut: Tree of Life, Seed of Innovation. A 10-day exhibition put together by the Department of Trade and Industry under the curatorial direction of highlights the coconut — an iconic, renewable, and highly sustainable natural resource of the
Philippines, as a powerful symbol of heritage, resilience, and innovation. Lamana participates by crafting 5 of its products in coconut lumber - the Ishinomaki stool designed by , Tripodal stool designed by , AA stool by , Hex stool by of , and the Score chair by emphasizing that a humble material like the coconut trunk can take the form of award-winning furniture pieces. This exhibition is the very first flagship event and the official kickoff of the Embassy of the Philippines in
Japan’s celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Philippines–Japan Diplomatic Relations, marking the commencement of a year-long program of commemorative activities. If you are in Tokyo, please come and see this special exhibition at the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub which runs until January 30.

The extra shelf helps keep things out of the way or on show to brighten up your working area. This shelf also has a hole for cable management. The Flamingo designed by is inspired by the gracefulness and confidence of the flamingo bird’s one-legged stance. It comes in three heights. The Flaming High sits at counter seat height at 650mm while the Regular (570mm) can sit next to many standard table heights. The Mini at 470mm can be utilized by children or as a bedside table. Following the acclaimed Tripodal Stool designed by , Tripodal Shelf is the second design in the “Tripodal Series” for . The shelf extends the minimalistic and iconic structure of the stool to become a unique, unconventional shelf design.
