This is a late post. We initially chose not to share it publicly, but we believe this experience may serve as a reminder to fellow business owners.
A helper who had been with us for less than three weeks was found to have been taking store merchandise out of our shop. CCTV footage and witness accounts showed items being placed inside sacks and taken out as if they were trash. A subsequent inventory audit confirmed the missing items.
We are sharing this not to shame anyone, but to encourage business owners to remain vigilant. Conduct regular inventory checks, review CCTV footage consistently, and avoid placing blind trust too quickly.
