Last September 27, 2025, UIC Architecture students stepped out of the classroom and into the real world—exploring Wilcon Depot, DGT, and the Coastal Road in a dynamic educational tour that brought design, construction, and innovation to life.

From hands-on material exploration at Wilcon, systems and structural insights at DGT, to witnessing infrastructure scale and impact along the Coastal Road, each destination deepened our understanding of how architecture shapes the world around us.

This journey reminded us that architecture is more than lines on paper—it’s about building spaces with purpose, creativity, and heart. 💡🏗️

Special thanks to Wilcon Depot for opening your doors to us and giving us a deeper understanding of the materials and systems that shape our built environment. Your hospitality and insights made our learning experience truly memorable.
