What is UV Care ViruX®
ViruX® is a patented technology fused into the HEPA filters which instantly eliminates pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2, E. Coli and Staphylococcus Aureus. ViruX® captures, incapacitates and eliminates harmful microorganisms in a seamless motion as it passes through the filter. It uses conductive metal particle agents that create nanospikes on the fabric surface making it highly potent against pathogens. These prickly spikes will punch holes in the cell membrane or viral coating and create free radicals that prevent cell respiration, accelerate the kill, and destroy the DNA and RNA inside a bacteria or virus preventing replication. ViruX® is highly effective in inhibiting harmful microbes from reproducing and being reintroduced back to the surroundings.


What is a Medical-Grade H14 Filter?

H14 is within the highest tier of HEPA and is considered medical-grade quality. It traps 99.995% of particles that are 0.1 microns in diameter. That means it can pass up to 0.005% of 0.1 micron particles per litre of air.
Medical-grade HEPA filters are commonly used in pharmaceutical manufacturing and electronic control rooms because they have a greater particulate retention rate. This means medical-grade HEPA filters are more efficient in removing harmful toxins from the environment.

User Guide: Before Use
Place the UV Care Desk Air Purifier upright on a dry, flat and sturdy space.
To ensure proper air flow, make sure that the unit is unobstructed and located at least 3 meters away from the wall, furniture or any object.
Adhere the four (4) felt pads on the base of the unit to prevent unsightly marks and scratches on the floor or table top.


How to Maintain- Filters

When to change filters? To maintain the maximum performance of the UV Care Desk Air Purifier, it is recommended that the combination filter be replaced every six (6) months. This is dependent upon frequency of use and other environment factors. With regular use, HEPA Filter will also change from white to grey or black due to accumulation of dust and dirt. A filter wheel is also built into the rear of the unit to track filter changes. Simply set the wheel 6 months ahead as a reminder. The wheel is marked with the months of the year.
