Hello! Hello! It’s been a while since we’ve made a capsule collection of handpainted pillows and what better way to come back to our “roots” (after all, pillows has always been our main product) than incorporate one of my favorite textiles in the entire world — the exquisite tnalak.

These handwoven ikat woven in abaca by the indigenous Tbolj people of from Lake Sebu are a real testament to the artistry of the Filipino crafter!

The tnalak we used for this capsule collection is a modern interpretation of the classic tnalak. I usually shy away from using modern tnalak but I instantly fell in love with its funky and electric color that I just have to create an entire collection!

This is also the first roll of weaves where we’ve used every square inch of the tnalak. Zero waste in both the tnalak and the velvet.

Studio Siriusdan’s signature patterns are painted in deep velvet resulting in an exciting mix of texture, patterns, and colors!

This capsule collection drops exclusively at Nayon Natin Pop-up in Power Plant Mall, Makati starting August 30, Saturday!
