One of Grete Jalk’s most famous designs is the GJ Bow Chair, which she created in 1963.

This chair is made from two pieces of molded laminated plywood that are joint together to create a unique, organic shape. The GJ Bow Chair was a groundbreaking design, and it was awarded first prize in the Daily Mail International Furniture Competition. The chair’s complex production process limited its production to only a few hundred pieces during Jalk’s lifetime. However, it is now considered a classic of Danish modern design and is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
