life + relationship with the objects in our home

lately, something about us has been changing.

we’ve always said we only offer what we would keep in our own home, but we’re starting to realize that this was mostly based on physical level. so recently we’ve been spending more time living with the pieces.

we sit on the chairs, take naps, even sleep on the sofabed. in that time we began to notice: the fabric was scratch resistant. or the chair is better for lounging than dining. getting to know something takes time. not just with people, but with objects too.

what we offer now comes from living with them, not just seeing them. ♡

getting another dog wasn’t in the plan. but sai somehow found her way to our little home. ♡

we stayed in hue the longest.
still, time felt shorter there.
maybe because our souls felt at home.
we learned to sit with stillness,
with boredom,
with openness.
we were like a leaf falling from a tree
with nowhere to be.
