eight years since we started practicing yoga and we still can't flatten the soles of our feet in downward facing dog.

it took us about eight years too, to realize that maybe that wasn't the goal. or maybe the question is, is there even a goal?

these days we are just joyful to practice ashtanga. the same mat. the same flow. at our own pace. some days, a little comfortable. other days, not so much.

eight years later, our heels still float.
the pose hasn’t changed much.
but maybe we have? 🍃

it has been a month since the rain started. laundry has become a challenge, and the dogs haven't been out in a while. we've been constantly checking the weather app. but not sure when, one day we just stopped and began living the morning we were given.

living beside an open field means we take so much wind and it can be uncomfortable during typhoons. last night the river overflowed so the bridge to town wasnt passable. 20 hours with no water and electricity but it's always grounding when nature takes something away from us to remind how small we are. hope you friends are safe wherever you are! 🌧️

when we decided to move to a new home, closing the shop became part of what we are learning to let go of.

me and troy are constantly evolving and it’s something that we always remind ourselves to embrace. we studied architecture, skipped the boards, spent years offering used furniture, and eventually built a homestay. not the usual path we are conditioned to take but requires so much letting go of our egoistic nature.

we'll be releasing the remaining pieces from the shop next week. many of them have been with us for a long time. hopefully they find their way into homes where they can continue to be used and appreciated.

as for us, we're looking forward to having more space to discover what comes next—together and individually.

thank you for being here through these different seasons of our life. thank you for following along even when we're not entirely sure where we're headed next. we're grateful to share this part of the story with you. ☁️

we often define our sense of home through the little things we become familiar with. how our bodies know exactly where to reach for the nail cutter. or how we notice the same corner collecting dust week after week.

right now, we're still getting to know this new space. we're learning where the morning light falls, which windows we instinctively open first, and where things naturally find their place.

familiarity requires time. we don't know how long it will take. weeks, months, maybe longer. but there is something special about being in this in-between. ☁️

troy and i finally decided to move somewhere more quiet. we've been shedding a lot lately and our bodies seem to be searching for that sense of "rebirth". is this a common experience when youve just turned 30?

i can still remember our first morning in this home. how the light entered through the kitchen window. it was magical to witness. since burt is blind, we always felt sorry for him whenever he bumped his head after the furniture was rearranged. poor burt! it took us almost a year to find a rhythm that allowed him to move around with ease too.

when we rented this place, we have this awareness that one day we would leave. so we learned to love it without holding on too tightly. and i guess that day has finally come.

we cant wait to show you the place we’re moving into.
it has a view of the rice fields and the yard is huge enough for sai to run. its funny how our dogs ended up influencing some of the biggest decisions of our lives.

wherever the universe takes us,
