ion that grew quietly through years of service and devotion. The couple has no formal background in art or design. Their journey began humbly—as volunteers in their local church. Whenever there were events or celebrations, Grace and Ced would happily help out, often taking on the task of designing and building stage backdrops, altar pieces, and décor. It was in these quiet, selfless moments that they discovered their love for building and creating. They never imagined it would one day become a calling. The seed of their business, however, was planted even deeper—within their own home. Grace's father, a skilled carpenter known for crafting beautiful custom doors, had worked with wood all his life. As his health declined and he became bedridden, a poignant moment occurred: he told them about a dream he had. In that dream, he saw himself passing down his old saws to Ced—the very tools he had used throughout his career. To the couple, it wasn’t just a dream—it was a sign. A quiet but powerful message: that he was entrusting his legacy to them. With hearts full of emotion and hands ready to work, Grace and Ced embraced the path they never thought they’d take. In 2023, they officially launched Obra Maestra, carrying the soul of her father’s craftsmanship, their shared faith, and the artistic spark they found in their community. Today, Obra Maestra specializes in handcrafted wood décor and custom art pieces, made with locally sourced materials and a whole lot of heart. Their work stands out for its unique style, attention to handcrafted detail, and the warmth it brings to any space. Whether it’s a piece commissioned for a special occasion, an item found at a weekend market, or a one-of-a-kind décor from their collection, every Obra Maestra creation tells a story. It’s a story of family. Of faith. Of finding beauty in the grain of wood and giving it new life.

BAKIT XYLON OBRA MAESTRA?
This Good Friday, we remember where it all began.
Dati, Obra Maestra lang kami.
Pangalan na kumakatawan sa paggawa, sa ganda, sa husay.
Hanggang panahon na bagsak kami may ginamit sya para ipaalala sa amin
na ang tunay na obra ay nagsimula na noon pa.
Kaya isinilang ang Xylon Obra Maestra.
“Xylon” is a Greek word meaning wood.
Ginamit ito sa Bible upang ilarawan ang kahoy na pinagpakuan kay Cristo ang krus.
“Obra Maestra” means masterpiece.
At para sa amin, ang pinakadakilang masterpiece na gawa sa kahoy ay iisa—
ang krus.
Isang simpleng kahoy na naging simbolo ng pinakadakilang pag-ibig at sakripisyo para sa buong mundo.
Kaya hindi lang ito pangalan.
Ito ay paalala.
Na sa bawat pagbagsak, may Tagapagligtas na handang magtaas sa atin muli
