This Collection takes its name from the Italian word for waterfall, and that inspiration is clear in its sculptural surface. Each wooden block is individually hand-carved and composed in a vertical rhythm, creating the impression of flowing movement-like cascading water frozen in warm timber. The craftsmanship is evident in the irregular relief patterns: no two carved segments are identical, giving the entire panel a living, organic texture.

The vertical composition, along with varied depths in the carving, produces a dynamic surface that seems to shift as you look at it. 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗔 doesn’t just sit on the wall or on a door —it interacts with the environment. Its stepped geometry evokes motion, creating an illusion of downward flow.

This monumental hand-carved wooden double main door, measuring 2.5 m x 3 m, reveals its artistry through a powerful yet refined composition inspired by wings unfolding. From the central axis, thousands of finely carved linear grooves radiate outward in a precise, sunburst-like pattern, evoking the spread of feathers caught in motion.

The carving is executed with graduated depths: the lines near the center are more pronounced, slowly softening as they expand toward the edges. This variation in depth creates a mesmerizing play of light and shadow, giving the surface a dynamic, almost kinetic presence. As natural light moves across the door, the carvings appear to ripple, enhancing the sensation of lift and expansion—true to the spirit of wings.

The warm tones of the wood and copper gilding, are subtly modulated by hand finishing, allowing natural variations in grain and color to enrich the design. The sculptural vertical handles, understated yet bold, act as a central spine—both functional and symbolic—anchoring the composition while reinforcing the idea of tension and balance suggested by TIRANTI.
