Rimadesio Manila Minimalist, stylish, ergonomic and functional design for any modern living space.

Rimadesio produces systems for sub-dividing environments and for the architectural definition of internal spaces. Doors, sliding panels, shelving units, walk-in wardrobes and a collection of complementary furniture: an offer which is constantly increasing in size and which is forever evolving its style. Linear and concrete designs wherein the simplicity of a concept is expressed through an exceptional level of technical competence. Highly-stylised objects, made to guarantee a superb look, but which still lend themselves to daily life, to a natural use that corresponds to the concept of contemporary living advanced by the company. Glass, which is a pure and ecological material, plays the most important part in the collection. All work on it is carried out entirely in the company's production department, this being possible as a result of a technical know-how gained over 50 years' experience in this field. Rimadesio' s aim is to continue to develop its own design culture and production technology in order to be able to offer functionally innovative ideas which are exclusive from an aesthetic point of view and can ensure maximum reliability over time.

1992 — 2026

The 1990s marked a decisive turning point for Rimadesio. The encounter with Giuseppe Bavuso introduced a design vision capable of transforming material into system, giving the collection a new architectural dimension. Aluminium technology entered the company’s design language, leading to the creation of Siparium — the partition panel system destined to become an icon of the brand.

From that moment onwards, doors, partition systems, storage elements and boiserie redefined the concept of living through visual continuity, compositional freedom and formal essentiality. A coherent language took shape, founded on the distinctive dialogue between glass and aluminium, on technological innovation and on a constant research into exclusive materials and finishings — values that continue to define Rimadesio today.

A JOURNEY THROUGH DESIGN - pt. 1
1956 — 1992

Founded in 1956 in Desio, in the heart of Brianza (Italy), by Francesco Malberti and Luigi Riboldi, Rimadesio began as Rima Vetraria, a company specialised in glass processing for furniture. From engravings to gilding and hand-applied colourings, every technique expressed a profound culture of the material, shaped by craftsmanship, precision and continuous experimentation.

Over the decades, glass became the centre of an evolving technical knowledge, accompanied by the introduction of new materials and production processes. A heritage founded on quality and constructive rigor gradually defined the identity of the company, preparing the ground for a new architectural vision that would emerge in the years to come.

The solid structure of the Ori chair, available in heat-treated oak and black oak finishings, is shaped by handcrafted joints and careful sanding, defining continuous surfaces and balanced proportions. The backrest and armrests are conceived as a single curved wooden element, exploiting the natural elasticity of the material, while the seat — available in natural or black woven cord, or with a thin padded cushion upholstered in leather or fabric — offers exceptional comfort.
