You see the finished piano. 🎹✨
But you don’t see THIS.

Hundreds of parts.
Dozens of processes.
Hours of precision work.
Years of experience behind every decision.

Soundboard. Bridges. Pinblock. Strings. Action. Keyboard. Cabinet. Iron frame. Regulation. Voicing. Tuning… and countless tiny details most piano owners will never even know were touched.

A complete piano restoration isn’t one job.

It’s craftsmanship, mechanics, acoustics, woodworking and finishing — all coming together to bring one instrument back to life.

And this video?
It’s still only a fraction of what happens inside our workshop.

From the first screw removed…
to the final note. 🎹

This is what piano restoration really looks like.

🎹 Steinway & Sons Model D – made for the concert stage

We have just completed another special project in our workshop – the cabinet restoration of a magnificent Steinway & Sons Model D concert grand for one of the larger concert halls in Belgium. 🇧🇪

For this instrument, aesthetics had to work hand in hand with the practical demands of the concert stage.

The outer surface of the main lid, as well as both versions of the smaller lid, were finished in an elegant matte finish. This was a deliberate choice: the matte surface minimizes reflections from strong stage lighting, helping to avoid distracting glare for the orchestra and musicians.

But once the piano is opened, the character changes completely.

Inside, we preserved a beautiful high-gloss finish, creating a striking reflection of the golden cast-iron frame – a detail that can still be enjoyed by the audience and adds to the unmistakable presence of a concert grand.

Matte on the outside. High gloss on the inside.
Less glare for the musicians, while preserving the elegance and visual impact for the audience.

We believe this is an excellent solution for concert halls, philharmonic halls, theatres and other venues where the grand piano takes its rightful place at the heart of the stage.

Another concert grand ready to return to where it belongs – the stage. 🎶

A piano’s sound begins here.

The soundboard is the acoustic heart of the instrument — transforming the vibration of the strings into the rich, powerful sound we hear.

During restoration, we carefully inspect its condition, repair cracks and structural damage, restore the bridges and preserve as much of the original material as possible.

Because restoring a piano isn’t only about making it beautiful.

It’s about bringing its voice back to life.

Every professional grand piano restoration begins with a careful inspection. 🔍🎹

We disassemble the instrument, remove the keyboard and dampers, measure the strings, and carefully lift out the iron frame. Every component is checked and recorded using our detailed restoration checklist.

Only after we fully understand the piano’s condition can the real restoration begin.

Ten wieczór przejdzie do historii naszej firmy. ✨🎹

To dopiero początek.
I jeśli pierwszy koncert wyglądał właśnie tak… to nie możemy doczekać się kolejnych historii, które wspólnie stworzymy. ✨

The story of this grandpiano is far more than a restoration — it is a journey through the history of Kalisz itself.

Built in 1939 by the legendary Arnold Fibiger manufacture in Kalisz — the historical heart of Polish grand piano craftsmanship — this remarkable instrument was finally completed and made ready to play in 1956, after the difficult years that changed the fate of Europe forever.

For decades, the piano carried within it not only music, but also the spirit of an extraordinary tradition created by the Fibiger family — one of the most important names in Polish piano manufacturing history.

In 2025, this exceptional grand piano was brought back to life by Piano Renovation Professional with enormous respect for its heritage and soul. What makes this restoration even more meaningful is the fact that the owner of Piano Renovation Professional - Wojciech Kozłowski had the honor of being taught byMr. Fibiger himself. Through this unique connection, the knowledge, philosophy, and craftsmanship of the old Kalisz piano school continue to live on today.

This is not simply a restored instrument.
It is a living piece of history — reborn in the very city where its story first began.
