Quando o instrumento de trabalho de um profissional é destruído numa noite, o rendimento desaparece.
O meu pai investiu 30 000 € numa retroescavadora, passou meses a recuperar toda a parte mecânica e, no primeiro trabalho, perdeu a máquina quando os incêndios passaram pela aldeia do Paul (Serra da Estrela) a 17 de agosto de 2025.
Ficou sem a ferramenta de trabalho de uma vida.

Before and After_Restyling an old table and stools made of wooden barrels at the .almeirim project.

As we said before, we had a very small budget for whole project and the our client wanted us to save and reuse as much as we could of the existing furniture and decor.

So, when we found this set with that typewriter on top, we said: "This is horrendous but we will love to transform it....!!!"😂

So we gave it a go with just some light sanding and underneath that dark veneer we discover a beautiful wood tone that we finished with natural oil to enhance the patine and age of the material.

But the fun part was making those cork tops we created for the stools 😍 !!
we got the cork stoppers from the winery and used them in the table top too.

At first we didn´t know were this set was going to go but in the end we think we found the perfect place for it !😊

Bespoke sliding door made out of cork stoppers for the winery project .almeirim

This space really needed an update but we only had a short budget for the makeover. This is a reception/wine tasting room, at the winery "Adega Cooperativa de Almeirim" central offices which receives visitors and costumers in special events.

3 years ago we did the the wine shop makeover, and the main materials we chose were cork, wood and metal and now we wanted to keep the same language and style for this room.

First, we had to take off that brown color from the walls, then we took care of the lighting which totally change the atmosphere of that room, don't you think?!!

We also upholstered the existing chairs and went to junkyards to search for treasures...we found a harvest container for the counter and some harvest tins to use as plant pots.

Lost in a corridor we found some old photographs of the buildings and we decided to show them here to give that special detail to the room and also featured the wine bottles in two cabinets with accent lighting.

To hide that ugly green door, we made a bespoke sliding door with cork stoppers from the winery.
