Most people will only ever see the final piece, but this is where the real work happens, in the hands that repeat the same movement until it’s exactly as it needs to be.

How it looks when it feels finished,
and how it looks just before it does.

You walk in, you look around, and something just feels right, even if you can’t immediately explain why.

It’s not one specific detail, or one element that stands out, it’s how everything comes together at once, in a way that feels effortless but was never accidental.

From the early stages, alignment becomes essential, especially between concept, material selection and construction, because what works visually also needs to perform consistently across different areas of the project.

If you walked into the workshop at this moment, this is what you would see.

A piece that is not finished yet, but already tells you what it’s going to be.

Usually, this is the point where clients start to understand the scale properly, how it sits in space, how the proportions actually feel outside of a drawing or a reference.

There’s still work ahead, of course, but the decisions that matter most are no longer being questioned here, they’ve already been made earlier in the process.

From here, it’s about refining, adjusting, and bringing everything to the level it needs to reach before leaving the workshop.

It doesn’t look complete yet, but in reality, it’s already very close to what it will become.

What starts as a drawing rarely behaves the same way once it becomes real, especially when materials, structure and assembly begin to interact in a physical context.

At this stage, the goal is not just to follow what was planned, but to adjust, refine and make sure the piece actually works as intended once it leaves the workshop.

By the time it’s finished, what you’re seeing is no longer just the initial idea, but a version that has been adapted to perform properly in real use.

From the first decision around the wood itself, through machining, structure and finishing, each step is connected and has a direct impact on how the piece will perform in real use, not only visually but also in terms of stability and durability.

When we look at a piece like this, it’s easy to focus only on the surface, but in reality most of the work has already happened long before this stage, especially in how the material is selected, aligned and prepared to behave consistently over time.

The wood you’re seeing isn’t placed randomly, it’s chosen and positioned so the grain flows in a continuous and controlled way across the piece, which requires planning from the very beginning of production and not just at the finishing stage.

The finish itself is not only there for visual purposes, it plays a role in protecting the material while still allowing the texture to remain visible and natural, without creating that overly sealed look that removes authenticity from the wood.

At the same time, everything behind what you see is designed to support this stability, so the piece maintains its alignment, structure and performance with regular use, without unexpected movement or changes.

It’s the kind of detail that might not be immediately obvious, but it becomes very clear over time, especially in how the piece feels and behaves in a real space.

Perfect proportions only happen when structure comes first.

The walnut framework is not decorative — it is engineered for stability and long-term performance. Solid wood elements ensure resistance to warping, while the brass details are finished to prevent oxidation and surface wear over time.

Velvet upholstery is selected not only for its depth of tone, but for durability and tactile comfort. High-density foam maintains its form, even with daily use.

Precision is visible.
Control is invisible.

This geometric veneer composition demands millimetre accuracy to preserve grain continuity and structural balance. The surface is pressed under controlled conditions to prevent warping over time — because patterned wood leaves no margin for error.

Solid brass hardware introduces contrast while ensuring durability in high-contact areas.

Aesthetic clarity supported by technical discipline.
