AxePal sharpens axes of cause, both carpenter axes wit flat edge and forest axes with convex edge - but it is a very useful tool for sharpening many edged tools. Only your fantasy is the limit :)

if you have a auger (ice drill) you know the problem.
IcePal solves that problem.

You can sharpen your auger out on the ice during fisching - with your gloves on - and get an perfect edge again.

IcePal sharpens all augers, all bit sizes, also the concave "impossible" bits will be perfectly sharp - and IcePal will not change the curvature on the edge.

Forest sharpens both flat and convex edges, has a built in protractor and are adjustble for blade width.

This is an edge on a Mora knife. I grind five facets on the edge. The facets are 1 mm wide, there is 0,75 degrees between them and the lines between them are straight all the way from the handle, thru the belly, out to the tip.

This is, in my mind, precsion grinding. The complete pic on tis blade can you find on my homepage edgepal.com, Swedish side, slipverktyg/Chef.

This picture shows how 1 hundred part of 1 degree looks -on a knife edge.

I first made the edge perfectly flat. then I change the sharpening angle with 1 hunderd part of 1 degree and made a new angle on the edge.

I made the scratches diagonal in different directions so that it is possible to se it what I did.

If the scratches is in the same directions this small differance of the angle will be invisble.
