IKEA has revealed 30 iconic items for its 80th anniversary, including Janinge and Odger.
IKEA JANINGE, 2014
The result was a visual stimulus for public areas as well as genuine durability for your home. Developing an everyday chair is a long process, and after two years, Janinge passed ANSI BIFMA, the hardest quality certificate for public use.
IKEA ODGER, 2017
Odger, a click-lock assembly chair in wood-polypropylene, made in collaboration with IKEA. This chair echoes a democratic and intuitive industrial design mantra, where form, function, price, quality and sustainability come together in one product. Behind that lies complex engineering: a distinct buckle-inspired construction, injection moulded using 30/70 post-industrial recycled wood-plastic composite.

This past year has taught us some harsh lessons about problems; from the COVID-19 pandemic to the increasingly alarming climate crisis, it is clear we are facing an enormous challenge. This Stockholm Design Week, Form Us With Love presents PROBLEMS; an in-depth look at the studio’s process towards designing novel solutions.
PROBLEMS will be on window display during SDW 21 from Feb 8 – Feb 12 at Norr Mälarstrand 58, Stockholm.
As an accompaniment to this week’s exhibition, we’re releasing one story per day, taking people through the studio’s methodology of identifying problems and collaborating on a solution.
