Client called earlier saying incoming to consumer unit has no power and was told to change rccb.Went down to check and asked them afew questions of why it happened to learn more.They say kettle has arching on plug when using. Called ‘A’ tech,tech asked to find a external tech to change rccb as mccb is fine. So they approached us for solutions and they saved a huge cost because the real problem is the mccb wiring for incoming to rccb was not tight enough.It was also the cause for the arching of the plug,as after tightening everything was fine.
