Felled Casuarina trees → signage wall.
And the off-cuts? They’re coming home with Uncle Raintree.
Art Of Suar Wood Singapore
We use reclaimed wood from felled trees to make wooden furniture, to let everyone own a piece of Singapore.
Part 2…second half of sawmill…
…a day at the sawmill.
I’m not a designer. I’m not an artist. I’m an engineer who helps nature finish its masterpiece.

I’m excited to be part of the Asia Art & Craft Fair on 11 & 12 July at Suntec Convention Centre.
Come visit the Wood U by Art of Suar Wood booth, where I’ll be showcasing a collection of handcrafted wooden accessories made from reclaimed Singapore wood. Every piece carries its own grain, character and story—no two are ever the same.
If you’ve been thinking about creating a one-of-a-kind dining table, coffee table, bench, or another bespoke furniture piece for your home, this is also a great opportunity to have a chat. Bring along your ideas, photos or floor plan, and let’s explore how we can turn a fallen tree into a signature piece for your space.
Whether you’re looking for a unique gift, a statement piece, or simply curious about the stories behind Singapore’s reclaimed trees, I’d love to meet you.
See you at Suntec on 11 & 12 July!
People often ask if I conduct woodworking classes.
My answer is always: No.
Because I don’t want everyone making the same thing.
I’d rather help you find a piece of wood that speaks to you—and guide you in creating something that’s uniquely yours. # fyp
Every masterpiece starts with removing what doesn’t belong.
Can you guess what this will become?
An old window grille from a demolished house, reimagined as the metal legs of a dining table and the frame of a bookshelf. The best materials aren’t always new. Sometimes they’re the ones with a story worth preserving.
