Behind the scenes: bringing the grain to life
The magic is happening…
Art Of Suar Wood Singapore
We use reclaimed wood from felled trees to make wooden furniture, to let everyone own a piece of Singapore.
Life in April.
A quiet corner, a gentle breeze, and a table made from a tree that once stood tall.
Now it begins a new chapter—
morning coffees, slow dinners, conversations that linger a little longer.
Not just furniture,
but a place where life happens.
Walkathon Fundraising Campaign – Now Live!
Hi everyone,
I’d like to share a meaningful initiative by Runninghour — an organisation that brings together persons with special needs (“buddies”) and volunteers to run, walk, and take part in activities as one inclusive community.
We have just launched our Walkathon Fundraising Campaign 🎉
⸻
🚶♂️ About the Walkathon
👥 18 walkers (buddies & guides) stepping forward
⏱️ 2 taking on the full 26-hour journey
🚶 Others joining different segments along the route
📅 Start: 30 May 2026, 8am (Stadium)
📅 End: 31 May 2026, 10am (East Coast Lagoon)
Regardless of how many hours each person walks,
they share one common goal —
💛 to raise funds for Runninghour.
⸻
💛 Why This Matters
Runninghour is not just about a single event.
Every week, it provides a safe and inclusive space where people of different abilities can come together — to exercise, build confidence, form friendships, and feel part of a community.
To sustain these regular programmes and continue growing this inclusive movement, we need ongoing support.
⸻
🙌 How You Can Help
You can support this effort by:
• 💛 Making a donation
• 📣 Sharing this campaign with your network
• 🤝 Helping to raise awareness for inclusive sports

Every contribution, big or small, helps keep this inclusive community going.
Thank you for your support 🙏.
Same legs…
but which top would you choose?
Every slab tells a different story —
some louder, some quieter.
I’ve got a few in mind…
but I want to hear yours.
👇 Comment your pick —
let’s build this piece together.

Would you use THIS as your table legs?
Looks a bit wild…
but that’s the whole point.
Nature gave me the story —
I just added a bit of structure.
Raw + geometry.
Old wood, new attitude.
Many people see the finished table…
but not many have seen how the story begins.
At the sawmill, a giant log is slowly sliced into slabs.
Each cut reveals a different pattern from nature.
Every table starts with a moment like this.
One day maybe someone will ask…
“Uncle Raintree, when are you conducting a free sawmill tour too?” 😆🌳
…should Uncle Raintree conduct these Free tour more often? …give him a hint in the comments, haha!
Who wants a FREE tour of Uncle Raintree’s workshop? Recently hosted two small groups at my workshop to share stories about wood from fallen Singapore trees and how these pieces slowly become furniture.
Nothing fancy — just wood slabs, a bit of sawdust, and many stories behind each piece.
Always happy to meet people who are curious about upcycling and local trees.

Sun, rain, time… sometimes they don’t damage wood — they reveal its soul. 🌞🪵
Tried a little balcony experiment on my own table… now I’m wondering who’s brave enough to be next 😄

My second ever Star Wars fanatic customer 😆✨
This table isn’t just furniture…
It’s about to become a launchpad for another galaxy.
Can’t wait to see the next masterpiece assembled on it.
May the bricks be with you. 🛠️🌌
Power of AI to make an old uncle look so cute. Even I can’t help but want to pinch his cheek….hahaha
