A perfectly crafted bespoke dining table needs a complimentary set of stunning dining chairs to really set the right tone for the space. With that being said, we introduce our Kautz original design Bold & Beautiful dining chair series.
Our "Bold" design combines dark finished ash wood frames with steel bars to give a unique high contrast modern look. While our "Beautiful" option evokes elegance and sophistication from its dark inlay cherry wood frames paired with the subtly curved changal wood slats that were reclaimed from a renovation project a few years ago.
Both designs are finished with our favourite hardwax oils to ensure excellent protection and durability. As we currently have very limited stock of both designs, future inquiries will be completed on a made to order basis.

Sometimes it's about the finished product and sometimes it's about the journey, but this project really proved to be about both! From maxing out the capacity of our old lathe to requiring a crane for this massive marble top installation, this amazing table was never short of challenges and surprises.
Crafted for our friends over at , and of course finished with the wonderful oil, the "Dumbo table", as we're affectionately calling it, was an incredible joy to build.

After rounds of discussion, we chose to go with the Japanese method of sliding doors within a groove, much like the traditional Shoji doors that glides without any hardware. Finished in Rubio Monocoat to capture the essence of natural ash.
