Today, the collection has grown to include custom-made wares, artisanal rugs, statement table accessories, mirrors, cushions, luxury home fragrances, and bespoke duvets. In Sept 2014, Arete Culture opened their 1st retail store in line with their vision of affordable luxe living. A beautiful project made even more special as it marks our third collaboration with the wonderful Peta Latimer!

Built on years of trust and creative understanding, Peta gave us complete creative freedom to bring our vision to life. The beauty of it all? This stunning transformation was completed in record time!

Inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding waters, our vision was to create a home that embraces openness, tranquillity, and effortless coastal elegance.

A Soothing Coastal Palette: Soft hues of driftwood, beige, seafoam, misty grey, azure blue, and duck egg blue reflect the calming beauty of the waterfront.

Layered Textures & Organic Elements: Natural rugs, tactile throws, and plush cushions introduce warmth, depth, and understated luxury.

Maritime-Inspired Accents: Thoughtfully curated artwork and decorative pieces bring a subtle coastal charm throughout the home.

Room to grow, space to play.
We’re grateful to Suresh and Poonam for welcoming us back. After designing their Morningside home in 2018, we had the pleasure of transforming their new home at Mayer Road in 2024.
This time, we’re spotlighting Zayden’s bedroom. As he stepped into Primary One, his room began a new chapter too, a playful space to explore, dream and grow, thoughtfully designed to adapt with him through his teenage years.

REIMAGINING THE KITCHEN & YARD FOR EVERYDAY LIVING

A forever home needs to work beautifully not only in the spaces we see, but also in the hardworking areas used every single day.

For the kitchen and yard, we looked closely at the existing layout and explored how each area could be better planned to create a more seamless, practical and refined experience for the homeowners.

The kitchen concept focuses on creating a lighter, more contemporary space, with thoughtfully planned cabinetry, generous storage and a clean, timeless material palette that feels connected to the rest of the home.

In the yard, every centimetre matters. Our proposed plans carefully considered the placement of the washer and dryer, sink, cabinetry and storage, creating a more organised and efficient utility zone while maintaining comfortable circulation.

From the initial site assessment to the detailed plans and elevations, each decision was made with the couple’s long-term lifestyle in mind considering balancing functionality, ease of use and timeless design.

Because a beautifully designed forever home should make even the most practical parts of daily life feel effortless.
