Thinking of a curved sofa for your home? Before you order one, swipe through our three criteria before you buy.

Hint: This one we made for a Notion of W project met all 3 of our criteria perfectly!

We customise regular, curved, organic shapes sofas at our Kallang Pudding studio and we’ll explore your floor plan with you to see what size and shapes will fit your space.

Doesn’t look it (because of my amateur 💩 video skills) but this curved, biopolic shaped sofa measures a good 4.5m wide and over 2m deep. Commissioned by Notion of W, It began life as a 1.1 scale template on our client’s floor.

The template is a lot of work but it’s a great way to get a real life sense of a huge piece of furniture. Thankfully, Notion of W only asked for one change.

We helped a couple with two young children for custom seat and back cushions for a conversation pit sofa their interior designer, Jade & Anthony, built for them.

They chose a white cream coloured performance fabric and also ordered a second set of covers in a pastel mint shade. It seems excessive but it makes sense for a this household!

Enfold is a sofa that thinks ahead about delivery because we really want the sofa to be in your home. Enfold comes in different elements like standard modular sofas. After a simple set up, its fairy godmother (yes, us) bestows it a large single slip cover in a fabric of your choice to cover up all the modular gaps and joins so that it looks like one magnificent beast.

Enfold is also really comfortable. Give it a test drive this weekend at our 68 Kallang Pudding Rd studio!

When Make Room by Barbara Fritschy commissioned this custom seat cushion project with us, we thought “oh simple.” Then they showed us the fabric, sourced from Tatum Company and then we remembered that Make Room by Barbara Fritschy wouldn’t make it thaaaaaat easy.

Unlike a plain fabric, a patterned one like these stripes needs its orientation established before we even cut into it. We’re thinking about symmetry, where the seams will be visible and details like piping that could interrupt the pattern. Thank goodness there wasn’t many finishing details to work around this time 😅

Just a few things to be mindful of when we upholster, to avoid that Zeigernik effect.

Note: If you’re supplying your own fabric for a project with us, we will require more material for a patterned fabric compared to a plain one.

Our client already has a custom seat fitted for her bedroom but it turns out a fitted seat cushion is not as simple as it seems especially if you have standards and requirements.

Swipe to see what we were navigating in this “simple”project.

When it comes to bay window/ custom seat cushions, there are some cheaper and honestly, decent options compared to us. For a lot of people, these options are the right call.

But if you care about exact measurements, seat firmness that holds up over time, an upholstery you love and having someone accountable if it just doesn’t fit right, we could be the better fit for you.

None of this makes the cheaper option wrong, it just means you’re paying for a different set of priorities.

Our client tried the cheaper route first. It wasn’t a bad decision, it just wasn’t optimised for her. That’s why she came to us.
