Reminder for UK nationals
UK nationals lawfully residing in Slovakia at the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020 can continue living their lives in Slovakia broadly as they do now. Please ensure you have registered for Permanent Residence with the Slovak Foreigners Police by the end of the transition period. If you already have Permanent Residence, you should follow the instructions of the Foreigners Police on exchanging your current Residence card for a new one before 30 June 2021.

UK nationals living in Slovakia: the deadline to register to vote in the General Election on 12 December has passed.
You can still register for future elections.
If you’re already registered, you can still apply to vote in the general election by proxy in England, Scotland or Wales. Apply by 5pm on 4 December.
