Inspired by nature, we create this sculptural piece to blur the boundaries between architecture and nature while lending a calmness to the home through a raw texture of clay.

Orb Vessel, a three-piece vessel designed by JT Road, is reminiscent of 'Ob' - Thai words for a deep, rocky valley, often with a stream flowing through it, commonly seen in the Northern region of Thailand. The sculptural piece was designed to blur the boundaries between architecture and nature while lending a calmness to the home through a raw texture of clay.

Orb Vessel’s box is made of natural high-quality pine wood, designed and crafted by skillful carpenters with the finest finish to allow you a touch of nature right from the beginning, as well as for safe, secure long-term asset storage.

When you buy Orb Vessel, you know you're getting something handmade and one-of-a-kind. While all of the artisans in the local ceramic factory in Chiang Mai employ the same techniques, they still have their unique manner of working with clay and making their signature. This unique handprint, along with the unpredictable nature of clay results in minor color variations, thickness, and small streaks, giving the handcrafted ceramic its unique beauty.

Designed to be separable, Orb Vessel can be both a vase and a planter. A small circle utilitarian piece with 16 holes functions as a flower stem holder when used as a vase, and water drainage when used as a planter.
